A practice built on craft & conviction.

Team Design began in 1996 as a small office in Lower Parel, Mumbai. Over thirty years the practice has grown across residential, commercial, and institutional scales — from private apartments to institutional campuses, from banking environments to homes shaped around the daily rhythms of a single family.

The collaborative process is as important as the outcome. Translating ideas into architecture is neither simple nor linear — it calls for experience and creativity, and for elegant solutions to genuinely complicated problems.

From a Lower Parel room to a national practice.

Six principles. Every project.

No. 01 / 06

Dependable professionalism.

A beautiful project is delivered through good service, detailed drawings and specifications, and excellent project management. Clients have certainty on time, budget, and scope.

No. 02 / 06

Reliable team depth.

Team members communicate well and are motivated by architectural innovation. The depth of our team means no project outgrows our capacity — every client has access to the full knowledge of the practice.

No. 03 / 06

Strong domain knowledge.

We lead by design, combining global research with local action. Experience across residential, commercial, institutional, and interior projects brings informed precedent to every new brief.

No. 04 / 06

Freshness of concept.

We deliver bespoke, global-standard buildings and interiors — no two being the same. There is no predetermined style: every project evolves organically without preconceived constraint.

No. 05 / 06

Energetic competence.

Projects manifest macro-to-micro attention at every level. The delivery stage is central to ensuring design integrity is maintained through a smooth, efficient progression across all phases.

No. 06 / 06

Wisdom of experience.

A building that fits its place, environment, time and culture will give the people who inhabit it a sense of belonging. This methodology connects beauty, confidence, economy, and comfort.

Buildings that belong to their climate.

Sustainable architecture has been part of our practice since the beginning — not as a certification target, but as a consequence of building well. A building that responds to its orientation, captures natural light, and uses materials suited to its climate will always outperform one that fights its environment.

Where clients require formal certification, we provide support for IGBC and GRIHA compliance. Where they don't, we still build to the same standard.

Passive design

Orientation, natural ventilation, solar shading — before mechanical systems are considered.

Climate response

Strategies tuned to local conditions — from arid inland sites to humid coastlines.

Eco materials

Low-VOC finishes, locally sourced stone and timber, reduced embodied carbon.

IGBC / GRIHA

Documentation and design support for Indian green building certifications.
