§ 01The Practice
A practice built on craft & conviction.
Team Design began in 1996 as a small office in Mumbai. Over three decades the practice has grown across residential, commercial, and institutional scales — from private apartments to institutional campuses, from banking environments to homes shaped around the daily rhythms of a single family.
The collaborative process is as important as the outcome. Translating ideas into architecture is neither simple nor linear — it calls for experience and creativity, and for elegant solutions to genuinely complicated problems.

Design guidelines.
Design standards for banks and multi-site clients, including ICICI, J&K Bank, Tata Capital and Kotak Mahindra, so every branch follows the same drawings and finishes.

§ 05Sustainable Design
Buildings that belong to their climate.
We treat sustainability as part of designing well rather than as a certificate. A building that is oriented for the sun, takes in daylight and uses materials suited to its climate usually needs less cooling and less artificial light.
Where clients want formal certification, we provide design and documentation support for IGBC and GRIHA ratings. Where they do not, we design to the same standard.
Passive design
Orientation, natural ventilation, solar shading — before mechanical systems are considered.
Climate response
Strategies tuned to local conditions — from arid inland sites to humid coastlines.
Eco materials
Low-VOC finishes, locally sourced stone and timber, reduced embodied carbon.
IGBC / GRIHA
Documentation and design support for Indian green building certifications.
