Cinemarc Cinema Theatre
This project was fast-paced with a clear design brief. Approximately 20,000 sq ft of space on the top floor of a new shopping complex was given to Team Design to design into a modern cineplex.
Bold use of colour, clear circulation patterns, and all other services were carefully thought through and designed to suit the needs of the end user and to the satisfaction of the client.
The cinema sits within a retail complex, and the design had to establish a distinct identity for the cineplex — a destination in its own right — while drawing visitors through the retail floors to reach it. The arrival sequence, from ground-floor entrance to upper-floor auditorium, is as much a part of the experience as the auditorium itself.
